In this unit you will be introduced to the basic competency in applying mathematics in real-life situations. You will be able to carry out numerical calculations, classify shapes in terms of their properties, understand symbolic notation and work with simple formulae, extract and interpret information from tables and charts and solve problems that require an understanding and application of basic mathematical concepts.
