The English unit taught at Level 5 is intended to fill the gap currently present in English language studies between Level 3 and the higher levels. Intended to be initially offered in the first year of the Higher National Diploma, this unit aims to consolidate prior knowledge of English semantics and syntax but further explore the technical and academic functions of English needed for higher education and degree level.
