The internet is now a major aspect of everyday computing. Website Development is now seen as a key activity in most organisations as a vehicle for internal and external communications.
The impact of e-commerce has also accelerated the increase in the development of websites and this unit will enable the student to develop some suitable websites.
The aim of this unit is to introduce students to the internet and to enable them to create their own websites. As part of the development cycle students will also need to test for/identify and solve problems which arise during website development.
From the theorethical point of view, defnition of standard terms will be included. Analysis of existing websites will also be done.
From the practical point of view, students will examine websites from the visual(design)/technical (coding) perspectives. Students have to be able to identify the uses websites.
