This unit will enable learners to understand the variety and purpose of different document types and how to present information effectively that takes into account the expected audience and how the document will be used.
The effective application of ICT also requires that learners are able to understand enough about different software applications in order to be able to choose which tools and techniques are most suitable and use them competently. As part of this unit, learners will also need to be able to explain and justify decisions taken.
Learners will become familiar with examples of tools and techniques so as to be able to exploit the software proficiently to produce effective communications.
